I haven't attempted it yet, purely for time reasons, but isn't it as simple as just placing lil markers for each player on the board and moving them accordingly? Like I said, I haven't tried it yet lol

yes it is, and i just got it, but somehow i would manage to get a piece on the wrong spot, or forget what dice I had just done, playing all four parts wasn't as easy as i thought... Pathetic, I know. :)

Time to grab three pals I reckon :) Or use an extra marker to mark the dice as you 'roll' them. Personally I reckon I'll get the missus involved :D

I redrew the board in a notebook and marked where each piece ended at the end of a turn. I also kept track of the dice by marking the sets of four dice (1 for each piece).

This may seem kinda dumb, but are you supposed to start on "Start" or "1"?

On start - so if one piece throws a 1, they move to space 1. I did this in the office one lunchtime using a redrawn board and jelly babies....

Yes, although a very simple puzzle, this one can be tricky in a practical sense. I found it fun as well. I had considered redrawing the board and using counters (such as the stones from the Perplex City board game... shameless plug hey MC). But in the end I wrote out a log of moves and positions for each piece.

Being careful to return a piece to the start if another piece landed on it.

This worked fine, it just took a bit of time.

I used the same technique I always use, tiny bits of paper coloured to represent each player. Rather fiddly but it works.

I played it with my 6 year old daughter. Never to young to get 'em thinking I say.

Just wondering if I did this one wrong but got the right answer. I didn't use all the dice, only 75% or so and I never once landed on the top of a snake. Seems kind of silly not to incorporate the snakes in this puzzle. The only questionable move I did was not move if someone rolled a number higher than what was needed to get to 25 exactly. Anyone know the real rule?

You must've tripped up somewhere - from memory you don't need to make that choice - the first piece to get to 25 lands on it exactly

martynpie, I don't believe that's right - I'm fairly certain I solved it the same way as Mykl, by not moving pieces that didn't land exactly where they should.

When I did it, I seem to remember the winning piece landing dead on... no confusion. I also didn't use that many of the rolls... so possibly I was doing it wrong (who knows?). I just made up a list and wrote down where each piece landed, with scratch outs for going up/down/back to start.

As for the rolls of the dice, without reworking the whole card, I can't remember.
