The Social's the place for everyone to shoot the breeze, talk about your favourite puzzles and catch up with your friends around the world. As with the other forums on this site, we'll be keeping a close eye - make friends, and play nice!
Guidelines We aren't grammar fascists, but DON'T TYPE IN ALL CAPS or tlk lyk yr u5ing a mbbl f0n3. Using plain English helps everyone understand you, we promise! Try not to completely derail a discussion if people still want to discuss the original matter at hand. If you've somehow swung from su doku strategies to salami slicing scythes, it might be best to start a new thread to discuss your new topic. Be nice to each other. Civil, passionate debate is encouraged, but flaming and personal attacks don't have a place here on Perplex City - we have a heart in our logo for a reason, you know. If you and another puzzler are taking over a thread with your bickering, we recommend your private message each other instead... although we'd suggest stepping away from the keyboard and chilling out is an even better option. If you feel like someone's giving you a hard time or acting rudely in general, you can send us a private message and we'll take action to conclude the matter. Again, we don't mean to get all rule-y, but we think it's better to be upfront with the ground rules so everyone's on the same page. And now, unto the breach! |

A big update to our site today, and the rollout of some great new features and hints of things to come. Before we get started, a big thank you to everyone who's sent us feedback and bug reports. We will get back to you all (promise) - we just need a little more time.
The new Season 2 leaderboard officially starts today. Unfortunately, we've had to re-set everyone's points to zero due to a bug in the system. We're really sorry - we tried hard to find another way, but sadly weren't able to. The good news is that you can now officially earn points toward your leaderboard total from Season 2 card solves and daily puzzle solves AND we'll be adding more point-earning puzzles in the coming months. Here's a run down of what the Mind Candies have been working on to bring you today: * Season 2, Wave 1 cards. Now up and running for your solving delectation! Get those unique codes entered and let's see some leaderboard action. * Create your own puzzle! We love puzzles, we know you love puzzles, and judging from the emails we get, we know a lot of you like creating puzzles, too. In this first release, the puzzles you create will be sent to our army of Puzzle Inspectors, rigorously checked and tested, and the best ones will appear in Slamboozle. Any puzzles you create will also appear on your profile page so you can share your creations with friends. For those of you who submitted puzzles to our beta late last year - we haven't forgotten or lost your wonderful creations. Watch this space in the next few weeks! * Brand spanking new forums. They're a little different from our forums in Season 1. We're starting off with a smaller range and will expand it over time. We've got threads per card for both Seasons 1 and 2, a general chatter forum and a place for everyone to let us know about bugs and suggestions. * Bits and pieces. Yes, we know we had a bug dealing with 3-solves-in-24-hours. That should be fixed now. Let us know if there's anything else by posting in the bugs and suggestions threads. And that's all for now. The hard work continues behind the scenes, but don't worry about us - get on with the puzzle fun! |

Please read the previous posts to make sure that no one's already posted the same bug, and please check the list of bugs we know about in case we're already working on it! When telling us about a bug, it's helpful if you let us know: Your screen name; The email address you used to sign up; The kind of computer you use (Windows / Mac, etc.); The kind of browser you use (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera etc.); and The page you were viewing when the error happened.
