Greetingage and salutations, all! Near the end of the Halloween Haywire Puzzle Competition, someone mentioned the possibility of a similar competition relating to Christmas.

With an intro like that, it'd be hard to assume that this thread would be used for anything but. Heck, it'd just be misleading if that wasn't the case. Especially with the title up there for everyone to read. And since December has newly dawned upon us, now would be a decent time to get going.

So, for your puzzle creation, and puzzle solving, pleasure, may I solemnly present the Christmas Conundrums Competition!

Herein, please deposit all your Christmas related head-scratchers, your wintery puzzles, and your electrical problems that deal with the flow of electricity when a single bulb goes out on a tree.

And don't shy away if you have non-Christmas holiday puzzles, either. The more the merrier! Anything from the start of November to the end of January's fair game.

So, present your puzzling presents, everyone! We'll run this one until December 26th, so shortly into the first few days of Christmas, but well before Twelfthnight hits us.

Oh go on then.

http://www.welovepuzzles.com/permalink/puzzle/23467/

This is really easy to cheat on and use the internet to find the answer but unless you're really stuck, please don't!

Oh and sorry about the rather dodgy picture; I couldn't find any others with lots of reindeer on.

EDIT : Just realised that the maths could be slightly wrong and would just like to say that it's not mine and I got it from a website.

It happens. It's still a good puzzle.

Incidentally, I like the picture.

Here's my attempt at a contribution:

Bonus points if you can get it without googling.

EDIT: Puzzle should state that each set of 3 words is from a different Christmas song (except the fake set, of course).

Got it without Googling.

I happen to own one of the largest legally purchased collections of novelty CDs in northwest Indiana, so that was a fine excuse to go listening to some of my old favorites.

OK, here's my entry. Like the Halloween puzzle I submitted previously, this was made to amuse the family at Christmas. I hope you all like it. No prizes for guessing the puzzle card that inspired the title.

Here's once I've been mulling over. Didn't have time to make a snazzy Photoshopped card. Wish I did now that I see that the site removed all my returns and the text is one monolithic block. Oh well, next time.

Here's one of my favorites. Can't remember where I heard it, though.

Note a minor error on the card: "December 13" should say "December 14". Sucks that you can't edit cards.

Nice work, FairmontKing.

Meanwhile, here's another one for you all to sample. Just don't make fun of my terrible line-drawing skills.
